Our Story
From a back-room dice night to Shoreditch’s deepest vault
We started with one folding table and a hand-drawn dungeon map. Seven years later the Savage Dungeon Vault runs sold-out campaign seasons, resident Games Masters, and a purpose-built basement of trap-rigged vault rooms.
- 2019
The first table
A weekly one-shot in the back of a Rivington Street coffee house drew a waiting list within a month. The club was born the night we ran out of chairs.
- 2021
The basement is claimed
We took over the EC2A 3LU cellar, stripped it back to brick, and built our first two live vault rooms: The Sunken Archive and The Iron Larder.
- 2023
Resident Games Masters
Five full-time GMs joined to run rotating campaign seasons, and the gear library grew past two thousand painted miniatures and forty custom rule modules.

Six vaults and counting
The build now spans six themed vault rooms, a members’ lounge, and a paint-and-play workshop — all still tucked beneath the same doorway on Rivington Street.

Everything a party needs to survive the deep
Tap any chamber to see what waits behind the door. All sessions are GM-led, beginner-friendly, and built for parties of two to eight.
A resident Games Master runs a full narrative crawl with pre-built characters, so you can turn up cold and be adventuring within ten minutes. Sessions run for three hours across Tuesday to Sunday evenings, with drinks brought to your table from the members’ bar.
Six physical vault rooms mix tabletop rolls with real locks, levers, and pressure plates. Solve the sealed vault before the timer runs out. Difficulty scales from your first descent to veteran-only runs of The Obsidian Cell.
Borrow from over 2,300 painted miniatures, 40 custom rule modules, dice sets, and terrain. Members can reserve rare campaign boxes up to two weeks ahead through the online ledger.
Two-hour guided miniature painting classes every Sunday afternoon, all paints and brushes supplied. Keep the figure you paint, then field it in an evening crawl the same day.
Book the whole vault for birthdays, stag and hen nights, or studio socials. We build a bespoke one-shot around your group and can cater from the Rivington Street kitchen. From £480 for the full basement.
